Long and lovely weekend

Last weekend included the Queens Birthday Holiday so I went to Adelaide and Mum and I spent Sunday at Port Elliot.  For the first time ever, the Flying Fish was so busy we couldn't be bothered queuing.  We bought fish and chips elsewhere and found a lovely spot to eat them.

We then drove to Helly's for dinner, but first Tamasin, Willowa and I went for a walk to the beach.  We set out for Port Noarlunga but got distracted: Willowa by the sea,

Tamasin by the urge to photograph, with only my phone available.  She went absolutely berserk, taking far more photos than I thought my phone could hold, but they are beautiful and make a wonderful photographic essay.

On Tuesday I went to the Adelaide Market - loved this display but bought smoked fish..

And this is the view through the windscreen as I crossed the Murray by ferry at Walker Flat.  I love this part of the Murray.  It always seems magical and last Wednesday it was like traveling to Avalon.

Order from chaos

Cuppla Sundays ago Steve and I spotted these pumpkins amok and akimbo just outside Dareton.

Today, I noticed the Good Fairy has tidied them up.
Curiouser than crop circles.

Wet Week in Wentworth

Gosh, this poor chap was discovered outside the fish and chip shop next door last weekend.  Shame really because it would have opened again on Wednesday.
It's not as though we are lacking anything here.

Anyway, after a good lie down in the Gallery
and the tender ministrations of Little Dr Sis,

he and his mates were ready to resume their adventures.
It really has been raining all week.
But the glory of it!
