Grazie Simone e Luca

A lovely evening in Wentworth last night.  A one hour recital at the Town Hall.  I sat right behind the harpsichord player (who I vapourised for this photo).  I can think of few things more civilised than a 5 minute stroll to a quality concert  in the company of friends and neighbours, and then another stroll home in the moonlight. Very intimate.
For those culture vultures who need to know the programme:

Bravissimo.

Fat fig

I have been watching our small fig tree with increasing frustration because the small figs never change.  Then last week one of them ballooned, so I ate it the next day.  And delicious it was too.

Steve has been on to me for a while to photo the sunflower.  So here you have it, with a hollyhock in front.

And here's poor Buddha blythely unaware of what's creeping up on him.

Stravinsky's Lunch

There are things about living with an artist that drive me nuts.
Clutter, dust, grimy fingerprints.
But it has its unintended beauties too.
Which doesn't necessarily include the woman in the mirror.
Yesterday the artist's task was to clean the bathroom mirror - since he is so au fait with glass.  However the glass cleaner remains on the desk and you can see the state of the mirror for yourself.

Ennui

I got my wish and we had a very cool weekend.
Despite this I was overwhelmed with lassitude and took to my eyrie for a magazine hit.
Looking from the chair and to the chair.
