We apologise for this break in transmission

Back to Coffin Bay, bubbly and cake.

Very Welsh was some of the scenery

and Welshly cool at times.

We thought this may be a nice shack to rent another time.
Very Laugharne feeling to it all.

Miss Smith gives us a lesson cos she knows this area.

I suddenly realise I've left the iron on...

Miss Smith sits calmly while someone else drives her car.

Bachelor Boy

Last Thursday Latrobe Uni bestowed a Bachelor of Visual Arts upon The Incredibly Strong Steve Mars.
The inside photos are very blurred because the photographer does not have a visual arts qualification.  They do have a pleasantly Harry Potter resonance.
It was good fun with good food and all worth the effort.

Just desserts

We all turn 60  this year.  Three of us have already taken the step to elegance and enlightenment.
Bronwyn had this cake made at the Braidwood establishment which concocts all our birthday, wedding and other celebratory cakes.  She then had to cosset it from Canberra to Adelaide to Coffin Bay.
Design concept:  Gilles Plains High School Prefects' Blazer (which we all wore at some time - we were poor and had to share...)

Photos of Gilles Plains H.S. Alumni adorn the Coffin Bay fridge.

Paraphernalia on dressing table stylist's own.
Back in Adelaide, watching telly with Mum, I heard this joke (which works better aurally):  Why did the oyster leave the party?  He pulled a mussel.

Oyster Eaters

Mum gave us some money to have a fish feed

so we went to this restaurant.

And as for dessert?  Some of you may have guessed...

Oyster Easter

It was an Easter of oyster hues.  Like resting in a shell rocked and nourished by a gentle sea.
The Gang of Four stayed at Coffin Bay on Eyre Peninsular in a strange but adequate 4 bed-roomed house.  There was gentle rain and beautiful walks.
On Easter Monday we drove to Port Lincoln:

where some were inspired to txt

and others cursed closed shops.

Sadly we had to drive home on the Tuesday, saying a last goodbye to Coffins

until the next time...
