Beautiful soft rain
festooning the garden with diamond necklets
and the most delicate crochet.
Other lovely sounds this weekend include ABC Classic playing only women composers. Last night, 6 hours of Hildegard of Bingen: https://www.abc.net.au/classic/night-music/music-of-hildegard-von-bingen/10845798 Divine.
Yes, we have had rain too, but sadly no jewelled necklaces or raindrop webs.
ReplyDeleteHowever, in honour of Int Women's Day I got from the library 'Miss Muriel Matters' by Robert Wainwright. The blurb says: The Australian actress who became one of London's most famous suffragists. I have not heard of her but evidently she was the first woman to make a speech in the house of Commons after chaining herself to a brass grille to protest against the segregation of women in Parliament. Go Muriel.
