And the winner is
David Atkins!!!! After dinner at my sister's place a cuppla weekends ago, Mum and I decided to check out David's entry in an exhibition at Brighton. Helen and David had actually been installing (I think that is the correct term) the sculpture when we arrived at their place, necessitating Tamasin and Willowa to wait upon us hand and foot. It was dark by the time Mum and I got to Brighton but a very obliging security man took us on a guided tour by torchlight. Exhilarating as this experience was, we decided to look again the next day in glorious sunlight.
Check out the little girl checking out David's work.
How lucky I am to live in such peace, prosperity, generosity and creativity. Long may it last!Saturday, 4 February 2012
While the cat's away
Love the New Yorker cover, and perfectly timed. I was going to learn piano at 50. And the Gallery, in my plan, was to be a room empty apart from a piano and a potted palm. So this could have been Rosie and I.

Dancing Day
After Christmas Day comes Dancing Day. And so it was that on 26 December I met with a Wu Tao gang at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens and we danced and picnicked.
And then, after a few adventures involving cars, Shanah, Rani and I drove along the Murray to Wentworth, dancing along the way.
And eating of course. Here we are just out of Truro on the hill overlooking the Adelaide Plains.Over the bridge at Blanchetown.
Past Waikerie.
On to Moorook.
Glad to be traveling eastwards.
Shanah tired but happy at River Bank.

Christmas
Better late than never...
Let's start at the very beginning. The Advent Calendar made by the Cox Atkins of Christies Beach - a delicate roof shaped concoction of origami and Lindt chocolate. Yummo!

Fresh vegies from the garden.
Burnt pudding from the pressure cooker.
The table set with Miyeon's beautiful gift.
We just had ham, ufo squash, tomatoes and lettuce for lunch (plus burnt pud and Christmas Cheer) - a light lunch cos I was driving to Adelaide.
My gift to myself - Largs Bay.
Happy people and dogs.
Santa Curlwaa couldn't have done better.

a blog post for Ella
I think you'll enjoy this blog Ella - as will everybody of our ilk - knitted cats and dogs, some fabulous clothes and a Penny Lane doppleganger...
For some reason I can't load the blog address on to my blog list so, in future, you'll have to get to the blog from the website - unless you favourite it, of course.
